Jonetta was born and raised in Fresno, California. She moved to San Jose, California in her early twenties. Jonetta attended Fresno State University and San Jose State. Setting her goals on becoming a successful business woman - - marriage and kids were not part of her plans. This soon changed once Jonetta met a Southern gentleman (Naval Officer) that swept her off her feet. Three sons were soon to follow and Jonetta enjoyed the challenges of motherhood. They lived in San Diego, California; Belleville, Illinois and San Jose, California during the marriage.
 
Jonetta is now happily divorced, but wouldn't change that experience for anything in the world. I look at my three sons (young men now) and I couldn't imagine life without them.
They have always been part of my inspiration!
 
Writing is something I've enjoyed since my early years. Growing up I was shy & introverted. Reading and writing were my escapes. A high school teacher noticed my way with words, especially dialogue and encouraged me to always write. Later in college at Fresno State, a teacher's aide did the same after I wrote about a summer trip to Arizona with cousins. While living in Belleville, I started a family newsletter to help me stay in touch and to keep my sanity. My first published piece was in the Fresno Bee newspaper, while in college.
 
Now here I am, many years later - - living in Arizona, still writing and establishing myself as a businesswoman. Being a native Californian - - I'll always love that state! Currently however, Arizona serves it's purpose in my life's journey.
